May 2012

May 2012

May was a busy month and probably always will be since Anthony and Logan celebrate their birthdays in May.

For Anthony's birthday we were able to see Avengers (Anthony scored and got us opening weekend tickets for $5 each), go out to lunch with Logan, and then visit a pretty neat arcade as a family.  Logan loved throwing the balls up the ski ball game and driving cars (any games that had steering wheels attached).  He loves to sit and "drive" in the Acura if we're unloading groceries or something.
Picture on our fridge from Anthony's Bday celebration
We also visited World's of Fun with Anthony's company for a Family Day.
A couple of Anna's projects from the past couple months:
Anna's homemade granola bars - yum!
I've also made homemade yogurt in the crockpot (except I didn't separate the whey).  I froze some of the extra in ice cube trays and I'm hoping to make smoothies in the blender tomorrow for breakfast.  Yum!
Finished baby sweater with little flower.  Just needs buttons!
My first pinterest project that didn't look like a four year old made it!  :)

Logan and Grandpa
Dad, Mom, Jay, and (very briefly) Liz came to visit at the end of May.  We were able to celebrate Logan's 2nd birthday during this time and he was showered by gifts!  He loved every single one (although, the weather has been a bit chilly for the pool yet.  I'm sure we'll get there).
Thank you to everyone!  Grandpa Leach for the "construction truck", Brett, Sarah, and Thomas for the "animals" that go on the fridge, Uncle Rob, Aunt Cathy, and Emma for the "power tools", Grandma Holmes for the "blocks", Grandma and Grandpa Holmes for the fire engine and fire boat, and Grandma and Grandpa Sato for the boats, pool, and outdoor toys.  If I forgot anyone I'm very sorry.  There's been a lot of new toys to keep track of.

Logan's memory verse this month was Genesis 1:1  "In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth."  He has it pretty much memorized, but his attention span doesn't really allow for him to say the whole thing in one go. :)  It's super cute and if he'd do it for the camera I'd tape it for you all.

Other than all that, Logan got some shots and the croup again (4th and worst time yet), Anthony went to an art show, and has been sketching up a storm, and we've enjoyed watching our little girl grow (from the outside).

Coming in June:
Logan gets his two year molars - no fun for anyone
Anthony finishes up his first quarter teaching
Anna gets even bigger...yes it can happen.
