8 Month Elena

Elena can now say "Mama" and "Dada" and imitate different words and sounds.  You can see the little gears working as she looks at the dog and touches his fur.  Logan and I are teaching her the word "dog" and sometimes a d- sound comes out when Stitch walks into the room.  It comes out like a "hey, I know you..." kind of sound.  It's super cute.
She also loves to play peek-a-boo with her blankie when she first wakes up and you enter her room.  She holds it over her face and then throws it down like she's trying to surprise you.  Logan did a similar gave when he was a baby.
Teething makes Elena's moods difficult to predict but she's finally starting to nap a little longer in the afternoons now that she has dropped her third nap.  She's more friendly around people and allowing people at church to hold her more.  She's warming up to the nursery more and more as well.

We purchased a cuppy for her because she has been watching everyone else and feels like she deserves one of Logan's.  There is the opposite of rejoicing when you take it away.  It's a little strange to see her playing with an empty cuppy, but she's as happy as a clam now.
