March

Blessed is the one
who does not walk in step with the wicked
or stand in the way that sinners take
or sit in the company of mockers,
but whose delight is in the law of the LORD,
and who meditates on his law day and night.
That person is like a tree planted by streams of water,
which yields its fruit in season
and whose leaf does not wither—
whatever they do prospers.
Psalm 1: 1-3

March, March, March

Let's see.  What happened in March?
The weather has been crazy.  We've had the most amazing ups and downs.  We've gone up to 80 and then fallen down and received snow more than once after that.  My allergies have been severe this year since that day in the 80's.  Living off Claritin and still feeling it.

Exploring grass

My seedlings seem to be doing well.  I'm planning on planting more now that April is here.  Let's see...squash, melon, and cucumbers are up now that tomatoes and peppers are well started.  My herbs still seem to be having trouble getting going.  As soon as we're clear of all night time freezing I'll move them and plant them all outside.  Hopefully we won't get any more quarter-sized hail after that point.

Daffodils are up and beautifying our front and backyard and filling my dining table's vase.  It's nice to have some color returning to the world again.  The grass is getting greener and the trees are blossoming.

We were able to clean up some of our backyard weeds and small trees that were growing too close to the garden and the house.  It looks a lot better now.  Although, we have soo much to do still.  I'll try to get out and take some "before" pictures in hopes that it will look better soon.

March brought some sad changes.
All our family in Japan checked in safe after the earthquake.  We are very grateful to the Lord for his care over them.  The following Friday after the earthquake, Anthony's grandfather passed away.  Please continue to pray for comfort for Anthony's mom during this time.

March 25th was our 5th wedding anniversary.  The years have flown by.  We were able to visit the Nelson Atkins Museum, go out to a play (Annie Get Your Gun), and lunch to celebrate.  We had a great time.

Spring break brought Alexander to our house for a week while he was off from preschool.  Three kids for an entire week was a challenge.  Anastasia is starting to scoot across the floor and I'm starting to get nervous about what it will be like to have two moving babies.  I have a feeling Logan might soon pick up the word "uh oh" after he hears it over and over again during this stage of two crawling babes.

This month I scheduled the date to get my wisdom teeth out.  June 10th.  If my teeth only knew what was ahead of them... :)

Anthony's project has been put on hold so that it can be cleared by someone high up in the company.  I guess it's going to the second guy from the top.  Unfortunately, Anthony has been the leader on this project from the beginning and has been the main person to pitch it to everyone so far but in this meeting he won't be there to urge it along.  Please pray that this man will be open and excited about the advergames.  In the meantime, Anthony has been working on design and concept teams and getting more of his ideas out.  Even if the advergames fall through God has provided other ways for Anthony to use his skills.  For that we are very thankful.

LOGAN
Logan has two new teeth.  Unfortunately, he has started to grind them together now that he has some on top and some on the bottom.
He loves playing with cars.  It's just too sweet to watch him drive them around on the floor or the coffee table.  Once we have a sunny day I hope to video him doing it.  Oddly enough, the computer mouse is like a car too.  It can be driven around as well, and it has that cool wheel on top that you can just spin and spin and spin with your finger.

Logan really likes to play with dirt.  He has pulled down potted plants more than once.  I'm sure this has contributed to my lack of success with herbs. :)
This week we said goodbye to baby food.  Logan has been eating whole veggies cut into little pieces, etc.  I'm finding out that I need to really cook things well in order to make them mushy enough to be digested.
New words:  "book", something that sounds like "apple", I've heard him use "up" in the right context a couple times, but not recently.

Logan is also starting to look a little bit like a Linus the way he totes his blanky around.

In our current stage of life I am scrubbing floors and sweeping constantly since babies are on showing signs of dirt on their knees, hands, and the tops of their socks.  Loading and unloading the dish washer can only happen if Logan is sleeping or in the playpen since he has tried to help very enthusiastically which has been followed by something breaking with a loud crash.  He's fast too so you don't always see it coming.
