Growing in new ways all the time. He is a big "doer." He just wants to go and go and go. Even when he's trying to fall asleep. He has three "words" now. He says "mama," "dada," and "um" (yum).
He's exploring everything he can get his hands on. He likes to play with the cans in the kitchen. I'm learning to relax and let him play with more things.
He's pulling up to a stand on all kinds of objects now: the coffee table, couch, bed, crib, play pen, dishwasher, tub, etc. He is trying to stand without objects but can't push his upper body up all the way quite yet. He ends up with his bottom up in the air and hands on the floor position when he tries it.
We're still on the lookout for more teeth. He's doing a great job drinking from a cup and he prefers to share your food and chew it up over eating mush. Pretty soon he'll be eating almost everything we are. Hopefully he'll get a few more teeth in so that it's easier for him to chew things up.

Events
At the very beginning of the month Anthony became a deacon at our church. That week we also went to visit everyone in Phoenix. Logan got a bad case of croup and cut his second tooth while we were there. We had a wonderful time visiting the Queen Creek Olive Mill and seeing South Mountain along with visiting with lots of family members. Hopefully next visit no one will be sick. :)
I'm writing this 4 days into February, but January has brought some amazing opportunities for Anthony at work. God has blessed him with many, many people willing to use his ideas to better the company. It looks like, as long as nothing comes in the way, Anthony will be making some advergames (advertising games) for the iphone to show off the new products Garmin is making. What an opportunity! God has blessed Anthony with so many different talents and so much flexibility, but also seems to be giving him the desire of his heart: to work on games. We are so thankful to the Lord. How cool will it be to download and play a game that Anthony has designed and made (almost entirely by himself from start to finish!)? Please be in prayer that this project will come to completion over time and not get canceled.
February
is bringing many more activities: Logan turns 9 months old, Anthony is taking me to a gardening show, there's a Valentines dinner at church, Anthony's church lock-in for cadets, and some birthdays in the bunch as well. I'm going to have to start my seeds this month so that we'll have lots of wonderful veggies over the summer rather than in the fall (last year the peppers started producing in September). Hopefully I'll be able to keep up with the garden more this year than last. I have a much better idea of what's ahead and how much weeding and trimming needs to be done. We're getting lots of snow again this year which means more spiders again (because there will be more bugs for them to eat) and also lots of green growth in the spring.
