October!

October!  Fall has arrived, the days are much shorter, and there's a chill in the air.

Logan
Logan is 5 months old now.  He had his first cold this month, first infected finger :( and antibiotics, first time sleeping on his tummy, first time at a pumpkin patch (although I think that was mine too), and more.  He weighed in at 19 pounds in the middle of October.  He likes to make "guh," "guh" sounds and gets very giggly around 6:30 at night.  He loves to "read" books.  His favorite book is The Little Mouse, The Red Ripe Strawberry, and the Big Hungry Bear.  There's just something about this book he loves (maybe the red stawberry on every page?).  Teething stepped up a little bit this month and he's putting something in his mouth at every turn.  Taking his little infected finger out of his mouth was a loosing battle because he stuck it back in as soon as you turned your back.  His eyes are even more chocolate brown now.  He rolls from his back to his tummy with ease, but struggles to go back to his back.  He uses this 180 approach the best he can to 'chase' the dog around the floor.  As soon as he can really move Stitch will have no safe napping spots left except under the bed.

Oct 2010 Family Picture

Events
We visited the Plaza to take some family pictures this month.

All three of us went to the church bonfire and chili cook off where Anthony's was one of the chili judges.

Logan had fun dressing up as a dragon and as Charlie Brown this month.

We managed to put Logan's Japanese Maple tree and a flower bush in the backyard this month.  Thankfully it was an Indian summer and it was nice and warm until just recently when we had our first freeze of the year.

We went to the Japan Festival this year with Anthony's family where we were able to see all kinds of shows:  modern music, drums, traditional puppet show,  a story teller, traditional and modern dancing, etc.

Next month...
Logan starts solid foods
Family is coming for Thanksgiving
Hopefully I'll get around to taking some more fall pictures
and more.
