1 Month Check up

1 month has come and gone and Logan had his one month check up today. No shots...just a weigh and measure check up.

So, how big is baby now? BIG

He's 22 inches long now - 60th percentile
and 10 lbs 14 oz - 75th percentile
The doctor said that 2 lbs in a month is normal. Logan gained 3.5!

He's now sleeping in 4 hour chunks at night with a diaper change and eating break in between.

The doctor said that if he keeps it up he'll be sitting up, crawling, walking, etc. early. He actually used the word "remarkable" when describing how fast his spine looks like it's developing (doctors talk in terms above my knowledge of anatomy so I can't tell you specifically, but he mentioned how strong his legs, particularly the upper leg muscles, are and how that related to his growth and development).

When held up by the doctor Logan went right into crawling position (on his knees and arms ready, with his head up). My little baby is growing so fast and is going to be moving quicker than I'd probably like! I guess I'll be looking into baby proofing the house soon!
Although Logan smiles and laughs in his sleep, and now here and there when he's awake, we're still waiting for the first "social" smile. He flashed one at me this past week when I was playing with him, but I think it might have just been a coincidence. Either way, I loved it. :)
